Organizational culture as a driving force in modern organizations

Organizational culture is known as the “personality of the organization”. It exists and has life whether it is consciously directed. Furthermore, it’s becoming a driving force for the organizations. The purpose of this article is to explore some of the aspects of the culture, based on the survey of one hundred participants. The article is explaining the theoretical definitions as well as the culture types. This study further investigates: the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction; citizenship, goals and organization’s mission; relationship with corporate social responsibility; Special aspect of this study refers to the development of the culture in the non-profitable organizations and institutions. Finally this study is referring to the managerial aspects of culture in terms of career development and as a HR tool for bringing outsiders into the organization. Special aspect is the impact of the national culture on the organizational culture, and this relation is only embarked upon in this study. Final considerations are referring to methodological aspects of measuring the culture and the actual survey performed for this occasion.
