Author Self-archiving and Permissions
Publishing in AICEI Proceedings means that authors agree with publishing under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The following section explains what you can do as an author without seeking permission.
Author self-archiving
This section concerns authors that wish to post their article in an institutional or subject repository or on a scientific social sharing network.
Institutional Repository
In case you the author(s) wish to post in an institutional repository, they should post the e final published article. No embargo period applies. The author(s) must state that their reuse is allowed pursuant to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). In addition, a link should be provided to the Version of Record on the Publisher’s site. In cases when a retraction, correction or any other notification is applied to the final published article, a link should be provided that to the published announcement. In cases the author(s) wishes to translate the document, they should (1) remove all AICEI Proceedings signs from the translation and (2) state that the document “is an unofficial translation of an article from AICEI Proceedings. The translation has not been endorsed by AICEI Proceedings or its licensors”
Personal website of the author(s) or any other website (including Scholarly Collaboration Networks)
In case you the author(s) wish to post the article within their personal websites or an other website (including Scholarly Collaboration Networks), they should post the final published article. No embargo period applies. The author(s) must state that their reuse is allowed pursuant to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). In addition, a link should be provided to the Version of Record on the Publisher’s site. In cases when a retraction, correction or any other notification is applied to the final published article, a link should be provided that to the published announcement. In cases the author(s) wishes to translate the document, they should (1) remove all AICEI Proceedings signs from the translation and (2) state that the document “is an unofficial translation of an article from AICEI Proceedings. Preprint server (a dedicated not-for-profit preprint server or subject repository)
In case the author(s) considers posting the pre-review manuscript submitted to AICEI Proceedings, in a preprint server, AICEI Proceedings requires authors that they add the following statement to their first page of the pre-review submitted manuscript: “This is a pre- peer review version of [Title, Journal, Volume, Issue]. The peer-reviewed final published article can be accessed online at [insert assigned DOI].” No embargo period applies.
Author permissions
Some rights to reuse your content may be covered by the author licenses – in these instances permission does not need to be sought. Other uses will fall outside of the rights granted by the license. Please consider the following concerning seeking permission to reuse the content under the CC-BY license:
- In case you want to Reproduce and share copies, then Attribution must be made.
- Concerning the Right to create derivative works, then Attribution must be made
- Concerning the Right to publish within book essay, position paper or non-peer-reviewed article, then Attribution must be made
- In case you want to use your work in courses, training, seminars and conferences, then Attribution must be made
- In case you want to post on a website, please refer to the self-archiving policy of AICEI Proceedings.
